COUNSELING SESSIONS
During our first sessions we will review paperwork, discuss confidentiality, and determine the best treatment options for you. This is also the opportunity to decide if we are a good fit to work together. The first few sessions can be exciting and anxiety-provoking, which is normal!

In the second and third sessions, we will continue to spend time getting to know each other. We will also create a personalized treatment plan for you, which will include your goals for treatment. It acts a basic outline for things you want to change in your life. For example, goals might include learning to deal with your anger or becoming a more supportive spouse by stopping alcohol use. Therapy is all about equipping you with long-term solutions as opposed to a quick fix.

By the fourth session, we will have finalized your treatment plan and created a therapeutic connection with each other. My goal as a therapist is to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental environment. I invite you to take an active role in your sessions, as you will get the most benefit from doing so. Therapy is an investment in better health and a better life.
